2nd November 2003 Boogie Boarding: Porth Ceiriad Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: Strong Surf / Sea State: ruined..blown out Air Temperature: Cold Sea Temperature: head freeze headache Weather: overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: I knew it would be blown out conditions, but I wanted to get wet! The waves were monsters, but folding out and dumping. I gave it a go and managed to get near the back(ish) but the rips and swell power were far to strong. I managed to get a clean wave 8ft(ish) face and then saw it as it broke over my head. Impending doom washed over me as I got tossed around in the washing machine. After getting hammered by wave after wave, I finally got dumped on the beach. After lying there catching my breath half buried in the sand I decided to give it one more go. The same scenario followed. I then gave up! I was still fun even tho it was rubbish (if that makes sense?) |
